We are certified!
Chain of custody for PEFC and FSC wood products. As a wood processing company, responsible use of forests is close to our hearts. Certification of our product chain, the so-called "Chain of Custody" gives you assurance that our products are sourced from sustainable forestry. The CoC is an information chain that fully documents from the forest right through to end user and is verifiable.
In this way, we demonstrate transparency with regards to the legal and sustainable origin of our wood products, and at the same time we support the domestic wood industry. Two internationally widely-established certification systems of uniform standards for forestry management facilitate the identification of wood products from sustainably managed forests and provide reliable quality seals for forestry operations and products.kte.
PEFC™ is a transparent, independent system for guaranteeing sustainable forest management and thus a global “Wood-TÜV” [Technical Inspection Association]. PEFC™ is the abbreviation for the English term "Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes".
The PEFC™ quality seal represents sustainable, careful and responsible forest management. Thus, our forests are preserved for future generations as the basis for life, work and recreation. The objective is to continually improve forest management, to preserve the forest and to safeguard its positive effects on the environment.
PEFC™ provides complete, authoritative evidence of a sustainable management framework which every consumer can rely on. In particular, PEFC™ plays a leading role in terms of social standards. PEFC™ is the first system which has not only integrated social criteria into wood certification but also into Chain of Custody product certification.
IPPS international standard for wood packaging
Globalisation has led to an ever-increasing global trade in goods whereby the inexpensive, renewable raw material wood plays a major role in packaging. However, wood as a natural resource can contain parasites which could cause considerable damage in other countries.
In order to reduce the risk of spreading harmful organisms through wood packaging material in international trade, our wood packaging is certified for export according to the IPPC standard (International Plant Protection Convention).
